CAUTION

Tattoos are generally not allowed to be visible while bathing. If you have tattoos, please cover them with tattoo stickers before entering the bath. These stickers are not sold locally, so it is recommended to bring them with you in advance. Additionally, there are rules such as not dipping towels into the bathtub. Since this is a communal hot spring, everyone must be considerate to maintain hygiene and prevent drain blockages. Remember to thoroughly wash your body before soaking in the large bath.

There are about 50 accommodations in the village including mountain huts and campgrounds, falling into three main types:

Mountain Huts are ideal as a base for trekking in Oze. Located within Oze National Park, they offer the rare chance to stay overnight surrounded by nature—perfect for viewing star-filled skies and stunning sunrises.

Campgrounds, as you might expect, are great for those who want to fully immerse themselves in nature with starry skies and cozy campfires. Some sites also offer bungalow-style accommodations, so you don’t have to worry about bringing too much gear.

Minshuku(Family-inns) are recommended for those who want to experience Japanese culture, with traditional tatami rooms and local home-style cuisine. Most are run by local families, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere and unforgettable memories.
